Vegan chocolate cake recipe

Some of you have had the pleasure of tasting Natasha’s(https://www.facebook.com/pages/Littlecakegirl/239744592735906)  tasty vegan chocolate  cake. Well we’d definitely recommend this recipe for #100healthydays! Check out Natasha & Leah in class last week with these delicious cupcakes.

Vegan chocolate cake
Ingrediants:::
275g plain flour
100g of cocoa powder
1 HEAPED tsp of bread soda
1 tsp of baking powder
Pinch salt
300g caster sugar
450ml of soya milk
320ml sunflower oil
2 tsp cider vinegar
2 tsp vanilla extract

Method::::
Heat the oven to 165’C or 320’F
#-Full recipe = line a 10″ cake tin
Or
#- half recipe = 12 cupcake tray

In a large bowl sieve the flour, bread soda, baking powder, cocoa powder , salt. In a another bowl whisk the oil,soya milk,vanilla , vinegar and sugar.
Then slowly whisk the wet ingrediants into the dry ingredients. Pour the mix into the cake Tin and bake for 40min , then check with a knife ,to see if it comes out clean, if not cook for a further 10-15min .
or divid into the cupcake tray .and bake for 25-30min. Until they spring back touch .
Cool and coat in dark chocolate 55%

Chefs tip::
# the vinegar and breadsoda mixed together are what allows the sponge to rise when the recipe has no eggs in it.
# a Teaspoon measurement is when u level off the top of the ingredient after u scoop it up with the teaspoon
And a HEAPED  tsp is when u use all of the ingredient that is scooped out.
Both can make a big difference to a recipe .
