Day 72 – Bloomsday is nearly here!

Day72 - WednesdayIn anticipation of Bloomsdays this week (and my – Ciara – birthday tomorrow) we’re going to fill you with fun Bloomsday events you can attend.

he Journal – there’s “a full programme of Bloomsday Festival events is available online and there’s also a host of fringe happenings to enjoy”.

Bloomsdays Day at the National Library –


The first of the National Library’s Bloomsday events will be held on 15 June at 7:00pm with a performance of Noramollyannalivialucia. This ‘play for voices’ directed and devised by Eamon Grennan is a portrait of Nora Barnacle, who discusses the difficulties and rewards of a life as the wife of James Joyce. Admission to this event is €8 at the door, no booking required.
