For all my diligent Pilates and Yogalates students, here is a link to a great You Tube video 7 minute abs.
Introduced to me by my sister Kate this weekend, I was surprised how challenging and comprehensive it was.  Tony (the trainer) recommends doing it  3-4 times per week. He gives great instruction and motivation throughout the 7 minute routine.

So here we are in January. Everyone feeling a bit fuller and rounder after Christmas Festivities and most people resolving to get fitter, healthier and leaner. January  is a month where you e will finds most fitness classes booked out, full of enthusiastic people, all eager to try something new. With this in mind, how do you know what to look for. What makes a good yoga teacher?

Yoga Home Practice

As a Yoga and Pilates teacher, I often get asked the following questions;
How often should I do Yoga or Pilates?
Should I practice at home?
What exercises should I do?
How can I remember what you do in class?
 
Everyone knows the benefits of coming to a Yoga or Pilates class, and students often ask me how often they should practice outside of class. The ideal yoga practice is a daily practice, I recommend students try do something 3-5 days per week.
 
I have recorded a one hour DVD suitable for home Yoga practice.
