Why Choose Tara Wellbeing Studio?
Tara Wellbeing Studio provides a haven of tranquillity in Dublin’s busy inner city. It is a warm, friendly, open and fun studio and welcomes all. In order to ensure personal attention and the best possible experience, Tara Wellbeing Studio keeps classes sizes to a maximum of 12. At Tara Wellbeing Studio you will be treated to enthusiastic teachers and a wide variety of classes.
 
How to I book a space in class?
In order to reserve a space in one of our classes you need to pay a €40 deposit. This is payable by cheque, postal order, cash, Paypal or bank transfer. Please see the Bookings & Payments segment of our website. The remainder of the course fee will be payable on the night. If it is more convenient for you, you may pay the course fee in full when booking a class.

Yoga and Pilates Dublin CityWho Can Practice Yoga & Pilates?
Almost anyone can practise Yoga & Pilates, regardless of your age, level of flexibility, strength or balance. Both are non-competitive. This means you learn how your body works and maximise its potential. Each individual will have strengths and weaknesses and each practice will be unique to that person.
 
All Yoga, Pilates and Body Bootcamp Classes are open to both men and women. While the majority of attendees would be female, there is a huge trend in men taking up the classes and this proportion of males is growing steadily.
 
Why attend Yoga Classes?
Yoga makes you feel fantastic. Yoga lets you tune in, chill out, shape up - all at the same time. By practicing Yoga you will gain increased overall strength and flexibility. Yoga allows you to create a sense of wellbeing and calmness. Yoga is an excellent compliment for other forms of training and proven to enhance sports performance and prevent injury.
 
Why attend Pilates Classes?
Pilates focuses on building strength in the deep muscles of the abdominal region, the body's core. Pilates builds strength without excess bulk, creating a sleek, toned body with slender thighs and a flat abdomen. Pilates is also excellent for improving posture, preventing back pain, and providing balance and core strength for those involved in sports training.
 
Why attend Body Bootcamp Classes?
Tara Wellbeing Studio’s Body Bootcamp Classes are designed to stimulate fat burning and sculpt the body. Classes comprise of a 45 minute fat burning circuit using body weight and light resistance exercises. Body Bootcamp classes are aimed at all levels of fitness, and aim to create both a fun and challenging environment. The end result will be improved fitness, fat loss and overall body toning.
 
Which class should I sign up for?
  • Level 1 – Suitable for those with 0 – 12 weeks experience
  • Level 2 – Suitable for those with more than 12 weeks experience
  • Mixed Ability - Suitable for all levels
  • Body Bootcamp classes are suited to all levels of fitness.
 
What should I wear? 
Please wear comfortable clothes that you can move in freely, tracksuit bottoms or shorts with t-shirts are idea. You do not need shoes or socks.
 
What do I need to bring?
Very little... just a Yoga mat if you have one. If you do not have a Yoga mat they are available to use in the studio free of charge. If you would like to own your own mat, there will also be a selection of Yoga mats and accessories for sale in a range of colours and styles.
 
All classes are done in bare feet. Comfortable flexible clothing is important.
 
Eating and Drinking
Try not to have eaten heavy food at least 2 hours before a class. A light snack such as nuts, fruit or a yogurt is okay. Drinking water before a class is advised. It is encouraged to bring water to the Body Bootcamp classes.
 
What if I am pregnant?
Please speak to your teacher if you are pregnant, or become pregnant during the term. All information will be kept in the strictest confidence. Yoga and Pilates postures can be adapted for most conditions. We would be happy to discuss the most appropriate classes for you.
 
What if I have any injuries or medical conditions?
Please let the teacher know before class if you have any injuries, have recently had surgery, been pregnant in the last 3 months, any mobility problems, high blood pressure or other health problems. In most cases it will still be possible for you to partake in the class with some minor adjustments.

  • Parking – on street parking is available on aNew Row South
  • Cycling – Should you wish to cycle from the city centre there are ample spaces to park your bike.
  • Dublin City Bikes – The Cornmarket Dublin City Bike stop is less than a  10 minute walk from the studio.
  • Walking – Tara Wellbeing Studio is a 10 minute walk from Grafton Street , and a 15 minute walk from Temple Bar.
 
Is there space to get changed before/after class?
Should you wish to get changed at the studio, there are two toilets which you are free to use.
